By integrating model-based control with data-driven learning, we can empower autonomous robots to operate safely and reliably in complex real-world environments, automating monotonous and hazardous tasks previously solved by humans.
Péter Antal is a PhD student currently on a research exchange through the NCCR Automation Fellowship at ETH Zürich, working with Professor Melanie Zeilinger. Péter's home institution is the HUN-REN Institute for Computer Science and Control, where he is part of the Systems and Control Lab. His research focuses on combining nonlinear and learning-based control methods, as well as optimization-based trajectory planning to enhance robotic applications of autonomous quadcopters. Péter obtained his BSc degree in Mechatronics Engineering in 2021 and his MSc degree in Electrical Engineering in 2023, both from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
